What do you charge for appraisals and offers?
Nothing to meet you and assess what you have. If you need a formal written appraisal we tell you the cost first; if you just want to sell, the offer is free.
Do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome during business hours. Appointments are preferred for dedicated service, especially for a large collection. We are at 46 Newark St, Suite 201, in Hoboken, above Barsky Gallery.
Should I clean my coins first?
No. Never clean coins or notes in any way and touch them as little as possible. One client gently washed a rare banknote and its value fell from $20,000 to $500.
How do you determine your offer?
We evaluate each item based on its condition, rarity, collector demand and current precious-metal value when applicable. Once we have reviewed your items, we present a clear offer. There is never any obligation to sell.
Are your appraisals accepted by lawyers and courts?
Yes. We work with estate lawyers across New Jersey and provide written appraisals for estate planning, divorce and inheritance disputes.
