About us
One numismatist, one office in Hoboken and a simple rule: show the client everything we see.
We share a passion for rare coins, currency and other precious things. They hold real value, teach us history and carry a beauty of their own.
Our journey began as a small partnership with Hudson Valley Numismatics - appraisals, estate settlements, buying and selling single pieces and whole collections. Demand from New Jersey grew, so we opened Honest Coin Shop to serve collectors across the Garden State and the Tri-State area.
Since 2026 we welcome clients at 46 Newark St in Hoboken, above Barsky Gallery and a short walk from the PATH. We don’t intimidate or confuse anyone: you see the test, the weight, the price and the history of every item.
The Wall Street Journal quoted Andrei in “Surging Silver Prices Prompt Americans to Empty Jewelry Boxes and Coin Jars” (2025). We have also been interviewed by The Washington Post.
“Foot traffic is up about 20%, mainly from silver ‘stackers.’”Andrei, The Wall Street Journal
